CLARK’S INN & RESTAURANT AND WHIMSEY GIFT SHOP ARE GETTING READY FOR THE HOLIDAYS!!
As we begin the holiday season at Clark’s Inn and Restaurant and Whimsey Gift Shop, we invite you to stay, eat and shop with us!
We will be serving Thanksgiving Lunch/Dinner from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, and we will be offering take out as well.
Many folks have booked holiday parties and family gatherings to take advantage of our beautiful Christmas decorations.
We at Clark’s are very conscious of the necessity of social distancing and have gone to great lengths to make it easy for our guests to comply with the recommendations suggested by the health professionals. We have followed the extensive guidelines made by the South Carolina Restaurant Association, called The Palmetto Priority, as our formal commitment to provide a clean and safe environment for our staff and guests to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
All of our tables and chairs inside and outside and including our bar stools are the required 6 feet apart. Our entire staff is wearing masks and gloves and their temperature is being monitored daily by one of our managers. We are adding heaters to our beautiful patio/garden for those cooler days. At the Inn, our meticulous housekeepers are being extra careful to thoroughly sanitize all hard surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, tabletops, etc. Our guest rooms open to porches overlooking gardens and we provide many outdoor seating areas.
If you think about it, the little town of Santee is a perfect place to be during this time that we are experiencing – we have a small population base and have always been known as an outdoor recreation area. In addition to our three in-town golf courses, there are 20 additional courses within a 20 to 30-minute drive. Our beautiful lake system-Lake Marion and Lake Moultrie joined by the diversion canal – offers world-class fishing – and we have some of the best guides around. Our beautiful and popular State Park offers boat rentals, water access, and many nature and hiking trails. We are also known as a bird watchers haven and we are now offering a limited number of pet-friendly rooms. In addition to all of this, there are numerous interesting and historical sites located a short distance away – and the staff at the South Carolina Welcome Center, the Santee Promotions Commission, and the Orangeburg Chamber of Commerce is always more than happy to provide suggestions and give directions. South Carolina’s Queen City, Historic Charleston, is only an hour away and is always good for a day’s excursion.
We hope to see you and your family at Clark’s very soon.
