Santee Cooper Country Club offers perhaps the most scenic round of golf in the area. Set amid majestic pines and native foliage, this well-conditioned layout will test every shot in your bag with its series of beautiful dogleg holes, strategic bunkering and challenging par 3’s. You are certain to enjoy the magnificently designed risk-reward par 5’s and the course’s elevation changes. Santee Cooper Country Club offers the best closing hole in Santee with a panoramic view of Lake Marion’s sparkling waters.
Orangeburg Country Club is a well maintained semi-private golf club. Originally an Ellis Maples design, the course will challenge you with its deep bunkers and tall pines lining the fairway as you meander along and enjoy the views of the Edisto River. Orangeburg Country Club is ranked in the Top 50 in the State according to the South Carolina Golf Course panel’s bi-annual rating.
This Tom Jackson Signature Course is a true gem in the heart of the Santee Cooper Lakes area. This challenging layout has been selected as one of the Top-10 best public courses in the state each of the last three years and offers consistently perfect greens all year long. Accenting the layout is a variety of winding water hazards, native grasses, and marshland.
Designed in 1992 by Earnest Wallace, The Players Course is carved from wooded terrain and features large, undulating greens which are always in great condition and the contrasting styles of the front and back nines make for a great round. Golf on The Players Course is a combination of wonderful play and incredible scenery.
Nestled along the shores of Lake Marion, the 18-hole Players Course at Wyboo Plantation is perhaps Santee Cooper Country’s most player-friendly layout. With very little water and only eight bunkers, this course sets up well for everyone!
On Goat Island between Lake Marion and Taw Caw Creek, Foxboro Golf Club offers a “natural golf experience”. Eighteen challenging holes are only 20 minutes from Santee and 10 minutes from Interstate I95.

Moments from Santee, in Manning, lies one of the area’s true golfing gems, Shannon Greens. Experience Shannon Greens’ newly redesigned 16th hole – The Island Green. Golfers enjoy the beauty of this hole from any of the four tees.
The remaining 17 holes meander through tall Carolina pines and over rolling terrain. Shannon Greens is a shot maker’s delight offering golfers the chance to hit every shot in the bag. The golf course is a Par 72 layout designed by Bob Spence, who is the lead designer for Davis Love III. The course features five sets of tees ranging from the extremely challenging championship tees (6,905 yards with a course rating of 73.9 and a slope of 138) to more manageable gold tees (5,782 yards with a course rating of 68.7 and a slope of 121).
Meanwhile, the lady's tees measure 4,990 yards with a course rating of 70.8 and a slope of 115.
The 18-hole, Par 71 Arthur Hills designed golf course meanders through pristine wetlands surrounded by the natural beauty of majestic oaks and towering pines. A complete golf practice facility equipped with a natural grass driving range, chipping, and a putting green is located near the clubhouse.
The Clubhouse is located at the hub of the Coosaw community, featuring a well supplied golf shop, locker rooms and an impressive restaurant – the Palmetto Grill. The Grill offers a wide variety of menu options and libations in a friendly atmosphere.

The Links at Lakewood opened for play in 1989. It was designed by Charlotte architect Porter Gibson. Our course is a pleasure for golfers of any skill level to play. It has four sets of tees for ladies and juniors, seniors, men, and advanced golfers. It has host several mini-tour events and Carolina Pro-Ams over the years. The Links at Lakewood will challenge you while providing a relaxing, picturesque backdrop.
This challenging 18-hole course is beautifully landscaped. Designed by Ellis Maples, the layout is set on gently rolling hills between pines and hardwood trees. Calhoun Country Club offers a forested, rolling layout with a combination of ponds, streams, and bunkers to challenge all players. You will love hospitality. Hillcrest Golf Club is rated as one of the top municipal golf courses in the Carolinas. It offers a rewarding test for all golfers regardless of their skill level. This 18 hole championship course was designed and constructed by Russell Breeden and opened in September of 1973. Open year-round, this par 72 course measures 6,722 yards in length.
Hillcrest Golf Club offers wide fairways and mid-sized greens, making it an extremely playable layout. Water comes into play on several holes but never poses a serious threat.
Beech Creek Golf Club is nestled in the historic “High Hills of the Santee” and opened for play in 1989. The course is located on the site of “The Battle of Beech Creek” and is the most scenic piece of property in Sumter County, with elevation changes that allow for views that go on for miles.
Playing at 6805 yards from the tips, Beech Creek offers an outstanding collection of golf holes that are both challenging and fair. The course is highly regarded as the best conditioned and most challenging in the area.
Crowfield Golf & Country Club presents a very challenging Bob Spencer design which stretches to 7,000 but the five sets of tees ensure that every age and skill level will enjoy the round.
It is a strategic course, calling for well thought out shots on every hole. However, do not let this discourage an inexperienced golfer from playing here. If the correct tee boxes are chosen, this course can be enjoyed by players of all skill levels.
